Photo Sessions and Jobs
A girl's got to work to pay for all those nice things but some days she's just got to work it for the camera!
Photo Sessions
Participating in a photo session is easy and allows you to earn emeralds. First, you'll want to head over to the FTV Jobs page.
To participate in a fashion show click on the participate button. A timer will start to countdown the time till you can see if you've won any emeralds. To reduce the amount of time the photo session takes and increase your chances of winning emeralds you can purchase equipment in the VIP shop.
You can click on the equipment button below the photo session to see what you already have in stock.
When time is up an F with an emerald will appear at the top of your screen. Click on it and you'll be taken to the FTV jobs page.
You will see your chances of winning emeralds.
If you don't win you'll be shown the message below. You can always try again.
If you win, you'll get a message telling you how many emeralds you received.
While participating in a photo session you can't work or challenge other players but you can do other things like vote and leave comments for other players.
Jobs
Jobs are found in the FTV Jobs section of the game. Your job will depend on which level of the game you are at. Each job requires you to buy an outfit. (You do not earn style points from the clothes in the Connections store where the work attire is located.) You don't need to be wearing your work clothes to work, just have them in your wardrobe. New jobs are available on higher levels and you can see the next job and what level you need to be to unlock below your current job.
To start working just click on the down arrow to drop down the hours list. You can set it for between 1 to 8 hours then just click go to work. You can stop the clock at anytime but if you stop it before the first hour is up you will not earn any money or experience points. You will only earn the money and experience points for the amount of time you were on the job. (I always set mine for 8. This way if I'm gone longer than I planned I'm still earning income. Also setting it before you go to bed is recommended.)
A timer will start showing how long you have before your job ends. You can click the stop button next to the timer to quit working at anytime.
The only things you can't do while working are: challenge another player or super model and participate in a photo shoot. You can still do all other aspects of the game.
